Religion's Views on Homosexuality

Christians believe that homosexual's attraction toward the same sex will disapper once they repent on their lifetime of sin and have faith in God. Several recipients of God's letter to Corinth were homosexuals but were renewed to heterosexuality after being saved.

Marriage was created by God only for men and women and that any sexual behaviors outside marriage are not allowed. Thus, religious conservatives think that same-sex marriage is a sin. Also, they do not recognize same-sex marriages in countries that allow it as "true" marriages.

The Church believes that homosexual acts, like having sex with the same sex are naturally disordered. It means that there are no ways of looking at it as okay simply because reproduction of a child is not possible. The Church only condemns the homosexual acts, not the gays and lesbians directly. They think that homosexuals, like nuns and priests, should be celibate because they think that that is the "right" path.
